Since 'libcom wobblies' seems to be now just filled with the infighting, and some have asked for it to be removed, we'll be merging every post into libcommunity (one or two might be suitable for other forums, but not many), and deleting the forum by the end of the week. If people have serious comments or suggestions about this please post them here.

There's something completely sloppy and unprincipled for someone like Slava to call libcom a "joke," and then to continue demand that all posts be deleted by spamming the threads. This should be grounds for banning. Same with Sparrow and his ad hominem attacks where he tries to associate those with whom he disagrees with Nazis. Without any context, he simply posted people's real names until the admins thankfully removed them. Then he, like Slava, simply acted like a troll and spammed the threads.

Migrate it over to another forum, but please don't allow these provocateurs to spam and troll as their program of "sabotage." Simply encourage them to migrate over to CommonDreams.org, where they'll find greater affinity for their ideas.

all the sensible ones except me and Tacks (and maybe Oliver if he's feeling nice) have scarpered and let the loonies loose.

i don't mind the forum being deleted. it was useful for a while, and thanks to the libcom overlords for letting us have it. but yeah, get rid.

...and, in our defence, we posted there cos we post here anyway (for our sins) and it pops up when you click 'tracker'. Me and ftony are both in favour of getting rid. Also, the reason it was full of disaffected, in one case stalkery-psycho, types is cos they can't post on wobforum.

I'm not too bothered about the impression it gave, cos despite the lunacy, i know it was fuck all people and many of them not wobs. The worst weren't.

Cheers mods smile

From THE I. W. W. — What It Is And What It Is Not (1928)

Quote:
I. W. W. Shuns Secrecy

It is also alleged that the I. W. W. is a secret organization. Those who utter that falsehood know in their hearts that the I. W. W. has successfully resisted every attempt to drive it underground. Its members have fearlessly asserted their beliefs and undauntedly faced mobs, insane with bloodlust, rather than retract their honest opinions. I. W. W. members have gone to jail by thousands, but the organization has never been forced into the retirement of secrecy. Their meetings have been held openly, in open halls, or upon the street corners, often with the jails to adjourn to.

There are no "grips" or "passworts''—no "hokus-pokus" of any kind. The I. W. W. is a wide-open organization which covets the light and avoids methods and acts that need the shelter of darkness, or the covering of a disguise. Truth is its doctrine, and overalls its uniform; the fellowship of wage toil is its qualification for membership, and loyalty to the cause of labor is its creed and test...
