Anarchists probably know little about the debates raging inside the anarcho-syndicalist movement concerning anarcho-syndicalism and anarchist political organization. I suspect there are wide ranging opinions of this forum as to what the authors have to say, but, I thought these might be of general interest.
These two articles, by Alexander Shapiro and Pierre Besnard are of interest. Both Shapiro and Besnard were longstanding activists in the anarchist and anarch-syndicalist movements. Both served, at one time, as General Secretary of the IWA. Both were critical of the CNT-AIT's participation in the Spanish government ---- and were at odds with some of the international comrades for this. The CNT CN was so pissed with Besnard as GS of the IWA that they intiated the "Solidaridad Internacional Antifascita (SIA) to circumvent IWA solidarity efforts on behalf of the CNT.
