Is this man imprisoned in Belfast City Hall? Is there a Spanish emissary in Belfast City Hall? If there is someone should tell him to get the fuck outtat there - its closed while they strip all the asbestos outta the place.

Or is it a case of going look at us with our lovely new bought and paid for banner - lack of talent costs dunnit wink

oh for fuck sake Boul wise up and stop being so petty. Unfortunately there is no spanish embassy or consulate in Belfast. It does mention outside the belfast city hall and it happens to be the one of the best symbolic spots in the city centre. Stop being so childish because it is childish whenever we have a comrade battling for his life!

Okay then, more constructively do you not think outside the EU offices around the corner is a better spot for this protest? I do not agree that for this issue the City Hall is "one of the best symbolic spots in the city centre". In the case of a man who is battling against the Spanish state and who's life is on the line I do actually reckon its one of the worst spots.

In the absence of a Spanish consulate why would the City Hall, which is empty (and even if it wasn't its not as if our councillors would have any culpability for the actions of the Spanish state anyway), have any value as a site for this protest symbolic or otherwise?

So why pick city hall?

Personally, we agree to disagree, as I happen to think the city hall is much better than the tucked away eu offices. The rest will be talked about privately

Release Amadeu Casellas Now!

Amadeu Casellas abandoned his hungerstrike last night after being granted "tercer grado" which as far as I can make out is a form of conditional release that involves being allowed out to work during the day, and at weekends and official holidays. Good news anyway.
