Delete this sub-forum

Submitted by OliverTwister on 25 August, 2008 - 04:10.

I believe I'm the only IWW left who posts in this sub-forum, besides slava who often says that he is on his last post. All of the other posts come from fnbrill, hieronymous and thugarchist, who are not IWW members.

So, I'd like for this sub-forum to be deleted. Thanks.

You're a moron. Does libcom have to provide you with a forum to spread rumors about the IWW?

Either rejoin the IWW and argue your case in wobforum.org and the GOB, or start a fucking IWW rumor blog.

If I am a moron, why are you shitting your pants? You could simply refute everything I say easily.

Of course, but you'd keep on saying it.

Agreed.

Oliver, you're starting to come off like the Arthur Anderson of the Wobblies.

We're the equivalent of the soapboxers and you're like the Red Squad or Infoshop News.

Long Live Free Speech!

'Cause I'm arresting you all, spraying you with freezing water in overcrowded jails, and shooting you in order to keep the local workers docile?

25 August, 2008 - 10:06

Oliver, you should probably start a thread to try get them all banned for their 'horrible' politics. Your last one was a great success.

25 August, 2008 - 11:00

Every post on here is an example of why this forum should be deleted.

Anyways it might not be horrible politics but its pretty hyperbolic (and a little offensive, coming from a friend) to be compared to a 'red squad'. (Actually 'free speech' politics are pretty horrible and most of the IWWs in the 1910s credited the free speech fights with almost destroying the union at the behest of liberals, without increasing workers power).

I mean seriously Hieronymous, you don't want libcom to give Kevin Keating space to continually spread the same rumors about you, why should they give that space to fnbrill or thugarchist to continually spread the same rumors about others?

edited to add: weeler I think you should be banned because you're a troll, as your above post shows. The fact that you have horrible politics is just funny.

From what I hear, you are a pretty popular guy. grin

Oliver just a week ago you said about me:

Quote:

Ah, see, when you're more reasonable like this and lay out your claim clearly, it'll get me to say things like "That does seem odd, I'll take that into account and keep an eye on it."

Unfortunately the Bay Area branch occupies a lot of time and energy (honestly i put in a lot less than i ought to), as I'm sure you can imagine, and I like to have some time to do other things - train jiu-jitsu, study, work, play magic, check libcom, etc. Which makes it hard to keep too close of an eye on the international union.

So I post one comment critical of your faction, you want every post in regards to the IWW on Libcom trashed? That does seem extreme. And like a censor because you have a personal political goal in mind, not truth.

You have admited twice that you don't follow IWW internal discussions. So how can you be so dismissive of my points? You don't disprove them. And when I prove them beyond a doubt, you grow very quiet.

The simple fact is that you don't want people to read about the internal workings of the IWW because you are either involved in those machinations or you are embarrassed by them.

Oliver wrote:

Could you prove this rumor? It goes against most everything taught about the IWW and therefore must be wrong. That's your logic.

Oh, yeah, I am the one who has the research that will back you up. Call me.

First order of business - destroy the IWW.
Second order of business - destroy all Trotskyists.
Third order of business - Movie night featuring Life of Brian.

I'm not an ex-Wob. Its not my fault if your "union" is a soap opera that is completely hilarious and fascinating.

I only know who name removed is so I'll assume the others are of similar character... comparing people who critique, fairly or unfairly, your organization to a KKK member, neo-NAZI sympathizer and police informant is some pretty pathetic shit. The last bastion of the weak.

29 August, 2008 - 13:18

Name removed was a canadian IWW who became a Nazi.
Ed name removed was someone who was expelleed from the IWW for sabotaging the Administration's computer under weak evidence.

Considering that my family was run out of their home in Klamath Falls by the KKK in the 1920s and I had my home/office (see CHD) assaulted by 7 skinheads in the early 1990s, I find this character attack by the former head of UC Berkeley Youth for Goldwater ironic. [correction: it was the Yuung Republicans in 1964]

Ho Hum fnbrill. You can be whatever you want to be on the internet..

...former head of UC Berkeley Youth for Goldwater?" Where do you get your info? COINTELPRO? Joe Hill's Ashes! Bet you weren't even born then.

Better pull down your tinfoil cap a little tighter.

Last time I voted lesser of two evils was for LBJ. Did run a mimeo with Bettina during FSM tho.

You're right. One could be whatever one wants. I cannot prove my G'mas memories, but I can prove they were in KFalls at the time. Likewise prove their Catholicism, which the KKK was attacking at the time.

Likewise, I can give you two excellect IWW references to what happened in the 1990s.

As for your past, you were in the Young Republicans in 1964 - the year Goldwater was the Republican candidate.

And I was very much alive at the time.

Do you think there's any good reasons to leave this forum open? Honest question. I feel like I'm the only IWW member who uses it, and I only use it to respond to accusations made by Thugarchist and fnbrill (some of which have merit, but this isn't a good place for them anyways).

If LibCom wobblies don't want this forum it should be deleted. end of. There is nothing to prevent you critics starting threads of your own, except the boredom of the others posters on this site might mean your only talking to yourselves.
