hey wobs, John put up a thing here - http://libcom.org/forums/libcom-wobblies/wobbly-networking - on how to indicate in your profile that you're an IWW member. A lot of folk on here who are wobblies haven't done so, please do.
cheers,
Nate
Hello! The solidarity letter went over very well among the workers and was an eye-opener to a lot of members who were not really aware that co-ops could have labor problems (liberals. sigh...) You-know-who is doing surveys- I want to get all the dirt I can on her and put it in the next newsletter.
Edited to be more cryptic- though they have better ways of knowing what we are up to...
IU620, proudly. I had a Wobbly great-grandfather killed 'cause he was a member, and I figure I'm doing this for myself, for his sake, and for all the workers of the world! Nice to see so many other Wobblies here, actually.. It's awesome! I'm so glad I stopped in; cheers, dudes!
Nice on that, Ftony.
hi lucy, welcome to the boards. yeah London branch got a bundle of B+Rs a few days ago. as ever, it's a good read, and very interesting in places. not much on the 'news' front though. we should blow our own trumpet more!
it would be nice if you could mail my branch a copy...er if you have a PDF i'm sure someone will print one out...
Hey there. Here now. Figured this is as good a place as any for my first post.
I'm in the Austin GMB and have been one of our key organizers for years, but am about to move far, far away, cease all organizing activity, and become a graduate student and a scientist.
I'd love to hear more about the DFW branch. We didn't know there was much going on there. It's a shame...we had a Starbucks worker who lived closer to y'all than to us, so we weren't able to offer her much support. She's now moved to Austin and doing different work.
And though we seldom reported on it to headquarters, we had a lot going on in Austin. Up until this spring, actually. Then our two big campaigns fell apart, we were outmanuevered, basically, and then the annual summer lull set in.
i couldn't make a link either.

This is a forum for those of a Libcom persuasion who are also members of the IWW. You're also welcome to post here if you have queries about the IWW or want to network with people in your area.
Needless to say, this forum doesn't represent the IWW as a whole, and so please do not take people's opinions to be any sort of 'official' line.
Feel free to post up your branch/area, and industry, and generally say hello on this thread...
