National Minimum Wage

The National Minimum Wage applies to almost all people in employment over the age of 16. It is graduated according to age:

- 16-17 year olds: £3.30 per hour
- 18-21 year olds (and some trainees): £4.45 per hour
- 21 years and over: £5.35 per hour

Exceptions
The National Minimum Wage does not apply to:

- Those under the age of 16.
