International Solidarity Movement

What do people think of the International Solidarity Movement, specifically their ideology of non-violence and the training given to volunteers before taking part? I do accept of course that you can' t go attacking Israeli soldiers with machine guns etc, are there some situations where nonviolence is appropriate at least as a strategy?

Leftwing Israeli Band HaDag Nahash

Hey.

Check out this leftwing Israeli band HaDag Nahash. They sing songs about peace for Jews and Arabs. Really nice lyrics and beat.

Independent unions in Israel?

I represent the International Solidarity Commission of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW). One of our members is planning a trip to Israel/Palestine in May and June, where she plans to meet with various unions and workers centers. We have some good contacts in Palestine and they are hooking us up with some Arab workers centers in Israel.

Five police officers were charged with planting bombs against a mob boss. Unable to charge him with any crime, they "took the law into their own hands" to bring him some vigilante-type justifce.

I just keep thinking: "two birds with one stone".

Iraq needs you, no matter where are u living

Dear Friend,

I have no doubt that you, like any other honest person in the world, suffer from what is happening in Iraq.
We Iraqis are tired of sectarian violence fomented by Iran, we are tired of car bombs, death squads, militias; we are tired of occupation and meddling by other countries,
