"The first in a series of radio shows, produced by the anarchist organisation, Workers Solidarity Movement, based in Ireland. This show is themed around the issue of public and private space. In particular we look at autonomous social center, Seomra Spraoi a social center project in Dublin.

In the world today there is no body of revolutionary theory that provides a fully convincing picture of where we are or a program for the future. The left is trapped in a cycle of state ideology and reactions to state ideology.

With the recent budget, it seems there have dozens of marches all over the country. But are we achieving anything aside from walking from A-B, listening to some speeches, getting cold and wet, then going home? How can we (anarchists) show ourselves as something different?

Subway Sack Young Pregnant Migrant Worker

Natalia Szymanska, a young Polish woman was sacked from Subway in her fifth month of pregnancy on a dubious charge of being in breach of the company’s health and safety policy.

We call on Subway to:-

· immediately reinstate the pregnant worker,

Anarchists organise Anti-War Demonstration
Politicians of all sides show hypocrisy

The Workers Solidarity Movement,(WSM), an anarchist organsiation, will be holding a public demonstration this Sunday in opposition to the Ministry of Defences decision to hold a march celebrating the occupation and continued atrocities in Afganistan
Spokeperson Sean Matthews said today.

Don't let local political parties off the hook. The Alliance for Choice in Northern Ireland is heading up a campaign for the extension of the 1967 Abortion Act to Northern Ireland. On Wednesday 22nd there will be a vote on an amendment to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill in Westminster to extend the Act to Northern Ireland 41 years after its introduction in the rest of the UK.

Northern Ireland’s religious divide has often proven a minefield when it comes to engaging in a spot of workplace banter.

But a team of local academics are now saying that light-hearted ribbing about community backgrounds is actually a good way to form relationships with colleagues.

The Belfast Branch of the Workers Solidarity Movement and Anarchist Black Cross will be holding an emergency picket outside Belfast City Hall at 5.30 tomorrow (2nd September) in support of anarchist prisoner Amadeu who has been on hungerstrike for more than 70 days.

Anarchists Picket in Support of Spanish Hungerstriker

Anarchists from the Workers Solidarity Movement will be staging a wildcat picket at the Spanish Embassy at at 17a Merlyn Park, Ballsbridge today from 6pm to highlight the case of political prisoner Amadeu Casellas who is currently on his 68th day of hunger strike.

The progress of the Irish Peace process has been both a long and turbulent one. It had seen the development in recent times of the once unimaginable, with Ian Paisley the leader of the DUP and Sinn Fein's Martin McGuiness sharing Power within the local administration. Since then, Paisley has stood down and Peter Robinson has taken over such leadership roles.
